About us

What these terms cover
These terms apply to all engagements between Fiscal Hydraulics and the client, including diagnostic services (LITE Scan, LITE Diagnostic), facilitated workshops (Map Workshop), and associated written outputs or correspondence (“Outputs”). By commissioning work, accepting a proposal/statement of work, or making payment, the client accepts these terms. The person commissioning confirms they have authority to bind the client.
Services and outputs
Fiscal Hydraulics provides evidence-bounded diagnostics and advisory outputs. Findings are framed as hypotheses, with explicit coverage and confidence indicators, and are intended to guide validation and follow-on work where required. Outputs are not audit opinions, legal advice, investment advice, financial product advice, securities advice, or a substitute for in-country verification.
Specific scope, deliverables, assumptions, dependencies, and timelines are agreed in writing before work begins (by email or a statement of work). If no separate scope document exists, the written exchange confirming the commission applies.
Fees and payment
Fees are quoted in writing for each engagement. Unless otherwise agreed:
– Invoices are due within 30 days of issue.
– Late payment may incur statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
– All fees are quoted exclusive of VAT. If VAT becomes applicable, it will be added at the prevailing rate. Any agreed upfront payment/deposit is non-refundable once work has commenced, and is credited against the final invoice.
Intellectual property
Fiscal Hydraulics retains all intellectual property in its methods, frameworks, templates, scoring rubrics, software, and pre-existing materials.
On receipt of full payment, the client receives a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Outputs delivered for its internal purposes. Outputs may not be republished, redistributed, or used to develop competing products without prior written consent. The client may not publicly cite, publish, or circulate extracts from Outputs without written permission.
Where the client provides data, documents, or materials, the client warrants it has the right to share these and grants Fiscal Hydraulics a licence to use them for the purposes of the engagement.
Confidentiality
Fiscal Hydraulics treats all client information as confidential and will not share it with third parties without consent, except where required by law or as necessary to deliver the service (e.g., a subcontractor under confidentiality obligations). These confidentiality obligations survive termination of the engagement.
Fiscal Hydraulics may reference the existence of an engagement (e.g., to describe experience) but will not identify the client or disclose engagement details without permission.
Limitation of liability
Fiscal Hydraulics takes reasonable care to ensure outputs are accurate and evidence-based. However:
– Outputs are analytical products, not guarantees of any particular outcome.
– Fiscal Hydraulics is not liable for decisions made by clients on the basis of outputs.
– Liability for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement.
– Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence.
Data protection
Fiscal Hydraulics processes personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data collected in the course of an engagement (such as contact details) is used solely for delivering the service and maintaining records. It is not sold or shared with third parties except where necessary to deliver the service (e.g. a sub-contractor, if applicable, under a confidentiality obligation).
For questions about data held about you, contact info@fiscalhydraulics.com.
Cancellation and changes
Either party may cancel an engagement in writing. If the client cancels after work has commenced:
– Fees for work completed to the point of cancellation are due in full.
– If the upfront payment covers the work completed, no further sum is owed; if it does not, the shortfall is invoiced.
Fiscal Hydraulics reserves the right to suspend or terminate an engagement if payment is overdue by more than 30 days.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for delay or failure to perform where caused by events beyond reasonable control (including illness, outage, or interruption to essential services). In such cases, timelines will be adjusted in good faith.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The version on the website at the time of commission applies to that engagement. Material changes will be notified to active clients.
